AIDS Education Group for Youth (AEGY) is legally registered NGO (5914/2468) with the NGO Board Ministry of Internal affairs in Uganda. We are registered at the District level by the Kamuli District Local Government under the District Community Development Office. The organisation is the process of changing name to AEGY Foundation in order to enable cover areas that we have seen challenging communities during the long time of our service
To improve on the Education standard, Health, Environment and Economic status of the people living the target area especially Busoga region.
A health self-sustaining, developed and empowered community.

AEGY ACTIVITIES:
- UP COMING ACTIVITIES
- Meeting to review the last week visit by the Plan national and international team.
- Intergrated Baord and management team meeting.
- Review of the draft AEGY strategic plan 2022-2027.
- LAST WEEK ACTIVITIES
- Hosted the visting team from Plan national and internation, conducted the community visit and then after a feed back meeting. AEGY was awarded certificate of recognition for good performance
- PAST ACTIVITIES
- Support young people and relevant duty bearers to have quarterly interactive radio talk shows
- Drama Groups conduct community and school wide Outreaches, FP, Parenting, positive masculinities, Sexual Violence, Growth & development.
- Emergency support for S/GBV for at risk marginalized/excluded youth
- Support CoC facilitator's work plans including group interactive dialogues activities
- Engage influencal local stake holder (cultural and religious leader) in promotion of SHR and prevention of sexual violence
- 24 schools trained ever since the project started In total 720 students trained 361 girls and 359 boys
- 24767 female and 13995 male in total 38762 Note the school we visit are the same term by time
- 926students reached 1782 female, 1898 male.
- 240 sessions conducted during this period of two years and 2 quarters 21605 Pupils in total 11694 female and 11989 male.
- 196sesions have been conducted ever since the starte of the project reaching 1807 female and 2163 making a total of 3970
- We have so far supported PHAs with 54 goats and 64 piglets for the implementation period of this project and 130 households have been supported with citrus tree seedlings and seeds for food security.
- 55 cook stove have been constructed so far and 2650 tree seedlings have been distributed
- 210 have been treated for a period of three years. 39 male and 171 female Note this number does not change because they are same participants from the same groups treated over and over
- 14 groups have been maintained through group visits and they are met on a monthly basis

Partnerships

AEGY works with other authorities in the District and Uganda,a member of Uganda Network of AIDS Service Organization of District Health Service Kamuli, we are members of Kamuli District NGO Council, and invited to be part of committee of District HIV/AIDS. AEGY has been working in partnership with other CSOs like: Action Aid Uganda, District local government Kamuli, Civil society Fund, Mennonite Central committee (MCC), PLAN International (NIYETU) Programme AEGY is not a profit – making organization and has been supported by MCC Uganda, Twaweza E.Africa, Civil Society Fund, Plan International and UPIMAC as Development partners.
